Generation Translation: Bridging Perspectives Across the Workplace

Join us for an engaging conversation on how different generations bring unique strengths, experiences, and perspectives to today's workplace. Through a keynote and moderated panel discussion, we'll explore communication, collaboration, leadership, and practical strategies for building stronger connections across generations.



Katina Whitlock, GE Appliances (Speaker and Moderator)

Katina Whitlock is the Senior Director of People, Culture, and Community Engagement at GE Appliances, a Haier company. She leads strategies to enhance employee engagement, workplace culture, community partnerships, and corporate philanthropy. As President of the Good Things, For Life Foundation, she oversees philanthropic investments and community impact initiatives. With a career in broadcast journalism, public service, nonprofit, and corporate leadership, Katina is known for building strategic partnerships and leading organizational transformation. She chairs the Muhammad Ali Center Board, is a former Trustee of Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, and a National Committee member for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. A frequent speaker on leadership and corporate social impact, she draws on over 25 years of experience. Her collaborative leadership style fosters inclusive workplace cultures and strong community partnerships.

Leilauni Charles – Practice Manager, CMA Norton Healthcare (Early Career)

Leilauni B. Charles, MS, is the Practice Manager for Norton Community Medical Associates, Crestwood. She joined Norton Healthcare in October 2021 as the Office Coordinator with Norton Specialty Rehabilitation and advanced to her current role by embracing opportunities for growth and leadership. Leilauni graduated cum laude with a bachelor's in public health from the University of Kentucky and summa cum laude with a master's in organizational leadership and development from Western Kentucky University. Outside work, Leilauni enjoys family time, shopping, traveling, and the gym. She is dedicated to growth and making a meaningful impact through leadership and collaboration.

 


Liz Pratt – Senior Director of Communications and Corporate Responsibility, LG&E and KU (Mid-Level Career)

Liz Pratt is the Senior Director of Communications and Corporate Responsibility at LG&E and KU, with more than 20 years of communications experience. She leads the company's communications and community engagement efforts while also serving as a FEMA instructor in crisis communications. Liz is an active community leader, serving on several nonprofit boards and championing initiatives that strengthen the Louisville community.



Weslie Willis- Treasurer, GE Appliances (Seasoned Career)

Weslie is GE Appliances’ first dedicated Treasurer. With 30 years in finance, she seeks innovative ways to increase business cash flow. Over her 28 years at GE Appliances, Weslie has advanced through roles in finance across various departments, including Commercial, Manufacturing, and Treasury. She led finance teams in GE Lighting, GE Industrial, and GE Intelligent Platforms, and completed GE’s Experienced Finance Leadership Program. A Bellarmine University valedictorian with a BA in Economics, she also holds a MA/ABD in Economics from Indiana University. Weslie is also active in the community, serving on several boards and committees.
